Becca Tudor-Price is currently in her third year studying Textiles for Fashion and Interiors at Cardiff Metropolitan University. With ambitions to one day set up her own design business, Becca is looking to finish the year in style and enter the industry straight away. Here, we feature one of Becca’s most recent projects – A Tale of Two Cities.

Surface Pattern Designer Mary Tanana

Designer and illustrator Mary Tanana provides the creative inspiration this morning. Currently based in Rhode Island, Mary studied Fashion Illustration at Syracuse University and along the way, discovered her passion for Surface Pattern Design. Inspired by various cultural styles such as the “henna designs from India, folk art from the Ukraine, Russia and Poland,” she is now moving forward doing what she loves with her business Groovity Designs.

Here we introduce freelance surface pattern designer Suzanne Washington of Spellbound by Design. With a “quirky narrative quality and magical sense of nostalgia,” Suzanne’s designs appear on a variety of products including home wares, accessories, gifts and more.
